Job Description

An international chemical distribution company is seeking a Logistics Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics operations and customer service, along with a positive, team-oriented attitude. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage freight forwarding operations, including shipping, receiving, and import/export.
• Process shipments per DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements.
• File documents accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Utilize logistics software for shipment processing.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation for customs clearance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely deliveries.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of freight forwarding experience.
• 1-3 years of shipping, receiving, and import/export operations experience.
• Familiarity with IMO, AES, and ISF documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office or Google Suite.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• University/college degree is a plus.
• Prior experience in global shipping management/customs clearance preferred
