General Position Summary

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating visually appealing displays and layouts to attractcustomers and drive sales. This role involves designing, organizing, and implementing creative visualmerchandising strategies to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the store and create an engaging shoppingexperience. The Visual Merchandiser collaborates closely with store management and marketing teams toeff ectively promote products and the overall brand image.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Store Layout and Design:

• Plan and design the store layout, including window displays and interior spaces, to optimize customerfl ow and product visibility
• Design and set up visual displays and merchandise layouts based on seasonal themes, promotions, ormarketing campaigns.
• Arrange merchandise to highlight key products and promotions.
• Create visually appealing window displays to attract passersby.

Product Presentation:

• Arrange merchandise to highlight key products and promotions.
• Create visually appealing product groupings and vignettes.
• Ensure product placement adheres to brand standards and design guidelines

Creative Merchandising:

• Develop innovative and eye-catching visual merchandising concepts.
• Utilize props, signage, and lighting to enhance product displays.
• Stay updated with industry trends and competitor displays to maintain a competitive edge.

Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Signage and Pricing: 

• Create and install clear and informative signage to aid customer navigation and provide product information. 
• Ensure pricing and promotional information is accurate and prominently displayed. 

Maintain Visual Standards: 

• Uphold visual merchandising standards, including cleanliness, organization, and order within the store. 
• Regularly inspect displays and merchandise for damage or wear, making necessary adjustment. 

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with store management and marketing teams to align visual displays with promotionalactivities and marketing campaigns.
• Communicate visual merchandising plans and guidelines to store staff to ensure consistency in productpresentation.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor merchandise levels and coordinate with the inventory team to restock items as needed.
• Ensure accurate labeling and pricing of products in coordination with the store's pricing policies.

Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Store Aesthetics:

• Maintain the overall visual appearance of the store, including cleanliness, organization, and ambiance.
• Regularly inspect displays and make necessary adjustments to ensure they are visually appealing andwell-maintained.

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and trends.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to refi ne visual merchandising strategies for improved salesperformance.

Compensation

Hourly range: $22-24/hr + bonus potential 

Reports To

• General Manager

For New York-based roles: Annual pay ranges may fall between $29,536 - $60,405.80 . You may also be offered a bonus, and other benefits.
