Production Scheduler - Charlotte, NC

RGA Enterprises in an industry-leading manufacturing client is currently seeking an experienced Production Scheduler in the greater Charlotte area.

The Production Scheduler is to plan, coordinate, and control the flow of production activities to ensure efficient resource utilization, on-time delivery, and meeting production and sales goals. The Production Scheduler is to make sure that each product is properly scheduled to a production line that has the capability of manufacturing the item efficiently based upon the bottle size, its contour, and the chemical formula being used.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop the weekly production schedule to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Work with the Materials Team to identify and escalate any material shortfalls.
  • Responsible for entering production work orders into the planning system.
  • Oversee the Daily Production Schedule Review with other departments.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Sales Team and Operations Team.
  • Communicates schedule adjustments with the Sales team and Operations team.
  • Monitors capacity levels for each production line to ensure adequate resources are available to execute production orders.
  • Oversee the production planning workstream for any new product launches.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes.
  • Resolve production-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in production planning.
  • Oversee production planning KPI metrics.

Qualifications include:

  • Prior experience as a scheduler in the production industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to convey accurate information effectively.
  • Skilled in communication and collaboration across all departments as needed.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis and statistical methods, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving aptitude.
