An employer in Downtown, Houston is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting project engineering and project management functions across 15-20 projects. These responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing Plan & Profiles.
- Ensuring that construction can take place without complications.
- Acquire easements, permits, and additional authorization to cross pipelines and other existing infrastructure.
- Checking drawings, supporting other engineers by submitting survey requests, coordinating with overhead teams to acquire pole location authorizations, read through one-line diagrams, request new plans from vendors, and support the existing engineers ad hoc.
- Review prints and drawings from external engineering design firms.
- Coordinate with various internal teams to reach project deliverables (ex. Construction Team, Scheduling Team, Project Management, etc.)
- Outline and review required materials for projects. Execute project from design to construction.
Must Have:
2+ Years of Experience in Project Engineering
Electrical or Civil Engineering background preferred.
Ability to read engineering drawings, designs, drafts/layouts, and plans & profiles.
Experience utilizing Electrical and/or Civil Engineering understanding to execute projects from design to construction.
Tools: MicroStation, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
Preferred:
Familiarity of SAP (Work Order Tracking/Processing)
