Accounting Assistant - Permanent, Onsite in Troy, NY

A well-established manufacturing company based in Troy, NY is seeking a detail-oriented, personable, and self-motivated Accounting Assistant to join their close-knit accounting team.

This is a full-time, permanent, onsite position offering a stable work environment and hands-on training.
Pay rate: $25/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping for two business entities, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare profit & loss and balance sheet statements using QuickBooks .
• Assist with property management functions: send rent invoices, manage lease data, coordinate maintenance planning, and communicate with tenants and property owners.
• Enter purchase orders and assist with general accounting tasks as needed.
• Provide temporary backup support for the AR function when needed.

What We're Looking For:

• 1-3 years of hands-on AP/AR experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel (basic formulas/spreadsheets).
• A solid grasp of accounting principles, with the ability to handle reconciliations and journal entries.
• A team player with strong communication skills-someone who is friendly, dependable, and proactive.
• An Associates degree in Accounting is preferred, but equivalent experience is absolutely welcomed.
